Personal Information Collection Statement

This Personal Information Collection Statement (“PICS”) is prepared by Integrated Brilliant Education Limited (“IBEL“, “we”, “us”) for the purposes of complying with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap 486) and applicable laws. This PICS relates to the handling and collection of personal data of individuals who participate in, access, sign up for or browse any of our activities (hereinafter referred as “Activities”, our provision of Activities to you being (“Services”)).

1. Purpose

You are not obligated to provide any personal data to us. However, when you participate in, access or sign up for any Activities, your personal data is required to enable IBEL to provide you with such Services. Your personal data may be used for the purposes relating to:

processing application and enrolment of Activities;
processing of payment instructions or collection of amount outstanding from you in relation to the Activities;
communication with participants and/or participants’ emergency contact person / parents / guardians;
operating, improving and maintaining Activities;
marketing of Activities and designing future Activities;
conducting market research or opinion surveys;
handling your complaints and enquiries;
compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations; and
all other purposes ancillary to the above.

IBEL may send promotional news and information related to the programmes, activities, courses, and services of IBEL to you using the contact information you have provided. If you do not wish to receive the promotional news and information related to IBEL, you may unsubscribe from such communication by contacting us (contact details stated in the section “Access and Correction” below). We will not use your personal data for direct marketing unless we have received your consent.

We may publish images, photos or videos taken during the Activities for promotional and marketing purposes. If you are specifically targeted and captured in any of these images, photos or videos, we will seek your consent before they are published.

2. Transfer

All personal data collected and held by IBEL will be kept confidential, unless disclosure is necessary for IBEL’s compliance with any statutory obligations or requirements, or for IBEL to provide the Services to you, or to carry out the original purpose or a directly related purpose for which the personal data was collected. IBEL does not transfer or disclose your personal information with any other people except under the following circumstances:

any agent, contractor or third party service provider appointed by IBEL for carrying out the purposes or the directly related purposes for which the personal data was collected;
with your prior consent; or
to satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process, enforceable governmental request and administrative requirements.

3. Access and Correction

You should let us know if there are any changes to your personal data. We will take reasonable steps to ensure personal data collected and retained is accurate, current and reliable for the purpose(s) it was collected. You have the right to request access to and correction of information held by us about you. You can make your data access request by sending an email to enquiry@ibelhk.org

4. Security and Retention

IBEL will keep your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which the personal data was collected (listed above) or a directly related purpose, or as required by applicable laws. Personal data which is no longer required will be destroyed.

IBEL strives to protect your personal data by taking reasonable precautions to prevent the data from loss, misappropriation, unauthorized access, disclosure and destruction.

5. Minors

Persons below the age of 18 should discuss with their parent or legal guardian who has read, understood and agreed to this PICS. If you are below the age of 18, by providing your personal data to us, you represent and warrant that you already obtained consent from your parent or legal guardian to participate in and/or sign up to our Activities.
